June’s Charity Afternoon Teas raised £400 for Exeter based charity Balloons.
Balloons do amazing work in the community, helping children overcome the tragedy of bereavement. They recently wrote to us to tell us how the money raised will be put to use.
“The Balloons Team would like to say a huge thank you to you for raising £400 for our charity at your Afternoon Tea Charity Event.
This money will make a big difference to a small charity like Balloons.
To give you an example of how we will use the money; it costs £400 to train a volunteer Grief Support Worker, so your donation will pay for the training of a volunteer, who could work with as many as 20 children and young people every year.
Being a free service, we rely heavily on donations and we really appreciate your continued help and support.”
We are very happy to be able to help them in the valuable work they do, at the most difficult times in a young person’s life.
We extend these thanks to all of you who were able to attend, or have attended our many charity events in the past.
Your support of these events not only benefits Ashburton Chefs Academy and our students, but can make a real difference in people’s lives.
Thank you again.
Our students putting the finishing touches on their creations.
