Our patisserie students are just coming to the end of their intensive 20 week course. They will soon receive their well-earnt diplomas, and head off back into the real world, fully armed with the knowledge and skills to forge interesting and exciting careers for themselves, wherever they choose to ply their trade. Before they do however, they (and we) would like to invite you for afternoon tea.
We’re looking for people willing to offer their time and bellies up as Guinea Pigs, for our students to showcase the fruits of their labour. Okay, let’s be honest, after 5 months of expert training from our dedicated pastry chef tutors, and with an industry recognised diploma about to land in their hands, it’s hardly something even the most risk-averse of us wouldn’t jump at.
If you don’t believe me, take a look at this beautiful stack of Macarons which floated past the office last week, before I had a chance to intercept and devour.
I mean, just look at them. I’d have that picture on my wall if I could trust myself not to gnaw at it in moments of weakness.
On the 30th of November and the 1st and 2nd of December between 3 and 5, we will be hosting our Charity Afternoon Teas, and you will get the chance to savour one of these little drops of heaven for yourself. Along with these, you will be presented with a beautiful selection of finger sandwiches, scones, and delicate patisserie. All served on three tiered serving plates with every piece, down to the jam, lovingly made by our dedicated students.
The price for this event is £22, and as always, proceeds go to a worthy local cause. The charity we are supporting this year, is Balloons. An Exeter based charity, covering much of Devon, which offers bereavement support and counselling for young people. The work they do is invaluable and makes a real difference in children’s lives during incredibly difficult times. They receive no government funding, so they and the children they help, rely entirely on the generosity of the general public and events such as this.
We are very proud to be supporting them in their work. If you want to know more about them and the wonderful support they provide, you can do so here. Spaces for these events are limited, so if you would like to join us for a beautiful afternoon tea, and to support a charity that makes a real difference to the lives of local children, give us a call on 01364 652784 or e-mail us on firstname.lastname@example.org
We look forward to welcoming you soon.
